ESB qualifications focus on effective communication skills, with a practical emphasis. All of ESB’s schools qualifications are mapped to the UK National Curriculum and are proven to increase attainment and confidence in speaking and listening.

ESB’s Senior Assessments are designed to develop Spoken Language skills.
The overall aim of the presentation skills qualification is to promote clear, effective, confident oral communication and responses within a professional presentation situation.
» ESB Level 1 Award in Graded Examinations in Speech: Senior Introductory (Grade 2)
Senior Introductory is designed for Year 7+ candidates.
» ESB Level 1 Award in Graded Examinations in Speech: Senior 1 (Grade 3)
Senior One is designed for Year 8+ candidates.
» ESB Level 4 Award in Professional Presentation Skills
This qualification is aimed at young people studying at either college or university.
The debating qualifications give students an opportunity to endorse their talent for debating and improve their skills. Debating is an essential life skill and an aid to develop soft skills such as critical thinking, teamwork and leadership.

ESB interview skills qualifications are designed to improve candidates’ interview skills and build confidence for the interview process. This qualification is invaluable in any educational or vocational environment and develops personal skills such as speaking and listening.

The Level 1 qualification is targeted at Year 6 – 8 candidates.

ESB EAL qualifications are designed for young learners who speak English as an additional language. The overall aim is to promote clear, effective, confident oral communication in a supportive group setting. The Awards in EAL are mapped to the ESOL Core Curriculum and referenced to the Common European Framework for Languages. The qualifications provide a clear cross curricular framework for teaching and testing. They are suitable for learners in UK schools who need to improve their knowledge of English, and therefore their confidence, in order to access the curriculum.
